| Note | Delayed registration of birth 901247-34 Victoria Co. On 12th Sept, 1934, William R. Dickson filed a delayed registration of birth for his brother Roger Walker Dickson, with the Victoria County registrar. He dates Roger's birth to 28 August, 1879, at Glencairn, Simcoe County. He names the parents as William Dickson, agent, N & NW Rlwy, and Marion Roger. William identifies himself as being of Omemee in Victoria County. An 1881 map shows the railway running through Glencairn. Rodger's father was station agent at Glencairn, at least for a time, and so it's reasonable to say that Rodger's brother William stated correcrtly the place of Rodger's birth. |
