NoteFrederick Letson was born in April of 1869; birth registrations did not come into being until July of 1869, and were some time in their submission being universally observed. Frederick's parents, however, were in Woolwich Township as of the 1861 census and were still there as of the 1871 census, in which record young Frederick, age 2, was with them. Jeremiah is shown as a farmer and West Montrose is in Woolwich Township. Frederick was probably born in rural Woolwich, not far from West Montrose.
