| Note | Mary Jane's place of birth is shown as Bellwood on her death registration. Actually, the name of the community was originally Skenesville in West Garafraxa Township of Wellington County. This was changed on May 6, 1851, to Garafraxa. On April 12, 1885, the name of the community and post office was changed to Belwood. At the time of Mary Jane's birth it was named Garafraxa. Death reg. 016791-30 Alexandria, Alexandria Twp., Glengarry Co. Mrs. Mary Jane Huxtable died February 1, 1930, at St. George Street in Alexandria (residence Elgin Street). Widowed. Born 'Bellwood' on August 13th (year shown as 1841, but stroked out). Age 78. At place of death 8 years. Parents Thompson Russell and Mary Miller, both born Belfast, Ireland. Informant Mary MacKay of Alexandria, daughter. Place of burial 'Shellborn', Ont. on Feb. 4,1930. Glengarry county is at the extreme eastern end of the Province of Ontario.
