| Note | The 1860 census at Rush Township, Jo Daviess County in Illinois, shows a daughter, age 2, with the name Lucyst. The enumerator's handwriting is fine and clear. No further record for Lucyst has been found. An application was made by Andrew Simmons in 1866 for Adam's pension on behalf of Keturah. Elizabeth Bartlett Vrooman is said to have died in 1865 and Lucyst is not mentioned in the application. Pending further evidence, we must believe that Lucyst, by this time, is deceased. |
