| Note | Page 112 of the 1949 Vrooman Family History book shows Adam's date of death as 14 September, 1842. This is credible. Young Adam is buried with his mother in St. James United Church at Vroomanton. The inscription on their stone follows that of his mother: / Also / Adam Vrooman, their son / died Sept. 14, 1842 / aged 20 years & 5 months / (per the OGS transcription) Adam's date of birth as provided by the 1949 book does not compute with the inscription on his gravestone. It is possible that he was actually born in May of 1822. The book (again see page 112) dates his birth to March 30, 1821. |
