| Note | John Ramsey lost Catherine Vrooman at some point in the mid 1880s. He married Janie Ann Mellon on Feb. 10, 1886, in Toronto. A badly faded census page places John and Janie in the St. Lawrence Ward of Toronto in the 1891 census. By the time of the 1901 census, we find John and Janie in Winlaw, Assiniboia. He may be the John Ramsey who died in Saskatchewan in 1906. A vital statistics Saskatchewan web page is the source for this information, but it does not provide a place of death. Janie Ramsey was still living, in Carnduff, Saskatchewan, at the time of the 1916 census. |
