| Note | Alice's full name was apparently Alice Maud Russell. She is in St. Thomas at the time of the 1901 census and on the same page, though not apparently the same household, as her sister, Amanda Loftus. Amanda died in 1915 and Alice has not been found by this researcher in 1911 in Canada, nor in the US census of 1910. No record of a later marriage for Alice has been found. No burial record has been found for Alice in St. Thomas Cemetery. There is an Alice M. Sanders buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in London. Her grave inscription reads: Dec. 15, 1877 - July 6, 1952. Alice, in the 1901 census, shows her date of birth as Nov. 24, 1866. With such information that we have, the two don't appear to be connected. |
