ID # 2011, (1848-1889)
|Father||Jacob Clemmer (1821-1892)|
|Mother||Anna Lichty (1827-1861)|
|Birth||Lucy Clemmer was born on 13 December 1848.|
|Marriage||She married Menno Heckendorn on 27 April 1869 at Waterloo Township, Waterloo County, Ontario.|
Per 6 May 1869 issue of Berliner Journal (as transcribed by the Waterloo County Branch of the OGS) the marriage announcement reads as follows:
27 April 1869. By Rev. Wurster, Menno Hackedorn was married to Lucy Clemmer, both of Waterloo Township.
A record of this should appear in the Waterloo County Marriage Register, but has yet to be found.
|Death||She died on 12 May 1889 at Maryborough Twp., Wellington County, at age 40.|
|Burial||She was buried at Martin Mennonite Cemetery, Waterloo.|
|Note||A transcription for Martin Mennonite Cemetery shows an eroded stone for Lucy Clemmer, wife of Menno Heckendorn. Apparently there are no readable dates on this stone. A marriage registration for Lucy and Menno has not been found. Ezra Eby's book, however, does confirm that she was the daughter of Jacob Clemmer and provides her date of birth. The following death registration has been found:|
Death reg. 019045-89 Maryborough Twp., Wellington Co.

The spelling of Heckendorn appears to vary. Menno's name has been entered per the spelling on Lucy's gravestone in Martin Mennonite Cemetery in Waterloo Township.
