Ila's grave stone in Fairview Cemetery simply provides her year of death - 1994. Fairview Cemetery's website has a photo of her stone, but does not provide a date of interment. Ila married Harry L. Weir. Harry was first married to Ruth Cook, the daughter of Alfred Richard Cook and Carmenta Burnison. At some remove, Ila was Ruth's cousin. Both Ruth and Ila are buried in Fairview Cemetery at Niagara Falls, Ontario. Ila is buried with her parents, Ruth is buried with hers. As well as being cousins, Ila and Ruth would seem to have had a professional connection, for both were registered nurses. Ancestry provides us with the 1940 voters list for Brant and Miss Ila Vrooman is shown as a registered nurse at Paris, Ontario. |
