NoteHe The parents of William Williamson, per the marriage registration, were John Williamson and Rebecca Arthurs. William, in the registration, gives his place of birth as Mount Forest. 'Near Mount Forest' will be rather closer to it. The family was evidently for some years on the south part of Lot 66 of Concession 2 of Normanby Township of Grey County. This is close to Mount Forest and Mount Forest may have been the family's postal address. They were in Normanby at least as late as the 1891 census. Of several children present with William's parents, only one seems to have had a birth registration.

William was with his family in Oliver Township, Algoma District, by the time of the 1901 census. They resided near the Nicholetts. Henry Nicholetts married Beatrice Vrooman, the sister of Mary Eleanor.
