The doctor attending was Dr. Mainwaring (of St. George in South Dumfries.) Death reg. 020090-84 Beverly Twp., Wentworth Co. Wilfred Spence Able died November 3, 1884. Age 3 yrs., 3 mos. Son of Norman and Jessie Able. Born Beverly, Ontario. The cause of death, meningitis, has what appears to be some sort of accompanying note, but it is illegible. The informant was Rev. J.H. Kennedy of Beverly. Wilfred's name appears on the family stone in Greenwood Cemetery in Brantford. His grandfather, Wesley Able, and evidently the second family member buried there died in May of 1885. It's entirely possible that Wilfred is buried elsewhere, but commemorated on the family stone in Brantford. Examples abound, but there is no evidence to be found for Wilfred's burial in transcriptions of Troy or Lynden cemeteries. |
