| Note | Death reg. 010196-97 Sydenham Twp., Grey Co. Alberta Pearl Taylor, age 8, died 10 July, 1897. Residence W 1/2 lot 39, concession B. Farmer's daughter. Born Ontario. Informant Dr. A.C. Sloane. Alberta Pearl is buried with her parents in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Her date of death agrees with Greenwood's records. We also take her date of burial from the same record. We will mention here that the lot and concession where the family resided at the time of Alberta's death was one concession from Owen Sound, the body of water, and about mid way between the village of Annan and the town of Owen Sound. Owen Sound straddles the townships of Sydenham and Derby and sits approximately equidistant between Annan in Sydenham and Kilsyth in Derby, which was the area that the Hunt family resided. It seems that it was natural for both families to be buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Owen Sound. A birth registration for Alberta Pearl Taylor has not been found. |
