| Note | Birth reg. 001766-90 South Dumfries, Brant Co. Francis Lovegrove born 3 December, 1889. Parents Monty Lovegrove and Elsie Laidlaw. Informant Monty Lovegrove, farmer, South Dumfries. Birth registered on 6th January, 1890. Dr. Addison attended. The original birth information, as written by David Baptie, South Dumfries township clerk of the day, shows the name as Frances and the child as being female. At some point, Francis must have required a birth record for on July 27, 1927, a correction was filed by L.M. Lovegrove of Galt and is so stamped and written in on the original form. Beyond this, the birth registration shows but one given name. The inscription on Francis' gravestone in Mountview Cemetery shows his name as Francis W. Lovegrove. His marriage registration has a middle name that is difficult to read, but seems to show Winifred. |
