| Note | Alice appears with her family in the 1860 census in Caledonia, Kent County, Michigan. It states that she was born in Canada. Since the family was located in South Dumfries, Brant County, as of January, 1852, it's likely that this is where she was born. This was pre-vital statistics so far as Ontario birth registrations were concerned. The 1851 census indicates that the family was Methodist and an extensive baptism index for Wesleyan Methodists exists, but the family does not therein appear.
Alice also is recorded in the 1870 census in Cascade, Kent County, but not in the 1880 census. |
