Craig Burtch, Global Heritage Press, 2012. Page 58 quotes an obituary for Augusta that appeared in The Mail on March 14, 1855. This states that Augusta died at Niagara, and that she was the daughter of Lt. Benjamin Geale of the 41st Regiment. According to the obituary, she had given birth to nine children. The obituary does not tell us if she died in Niagara Town or township. The 1851 census, however, which was enumerated in January of 1852, places the family in Niagara Town. This census shows eight children with Walter and Augusta. Her dates of birth and death are as shown on the transcription of St. Mark's Anglican Church Cemetery at Niagara Town.
