The Hamilton branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society transcribed Waterdown Cemetery and the McMonies family gravestone shows her name as Phillis. Death reg. 036518-35 East Flamboro, Wentworth Co. Phillis McMonies died Sept. 1, 1935, East Flamboro. Residence same. Born England Feb. 11, 1873. Age 62 yrs., 6 mos., 20 dys. At place of death 55 years. Parents Samuel Job and Margaret Thompson, both born England. Informant Mildred McMonies, Waterdown, daughter. Place of burial Waterdown, Sept. 3rd. The Hamilton Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society transcribed this cemetery in 1988.
