| Note | The 1883 biography for Michael Muma in The History of Brant mentions two deceased children, Melvin and William. As yet, no dates for these children or place of burial has been found. Considering, however, that the oldest child that we may date, Susan, born about 1844, it's likely that Melvin or William, or perhaps even both, were early births. Certainly, we do not find them with the family in the 1851, '61, or '71 censuses.
Also, the Hamilton Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed births, marriages and deaths, as they appear in the Christian Messager, a Baptist publication. The transcriptions run from 1854 to 1888. Births or deaths for Melvin or William Muma do not appear. |
