The indexing was an effort in cooperation with the Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society. Mary died a few weeks before death registrations became a requirement (whether they were always filed is another matter). The burial record such as is provided for Toronto Necropolis cemetery is not intended as a source for death registrations, but a small space on the form does provide room for little more than a word, in Mary's case the cause of death being 'inflammation', which tells us little. Mary's husband John is buried with his second wife Ann in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. Mary, however, is buried with daughter Mary, who died in 1867, and with her mother. |
