| Note | Jane Carrick and Charles William Wells were married in 1883 in Goderich. By the time of the 1891 census they are in Manitoba at Elton. The 1861 census names Jane as Jane Isabella and the 1901 census names Jane as J. Isabella, so the two names are used here. By 1901, they are in Brandon, Manitoba. At the time of the 1906 western census, they are in Marquette, Manitoba, and are still there in 1911. The 1916 western census places them in Selkirk, Manitoba. The 1921 census places them in Gladstone, Manitoba. A Mantoba vital statistics index shows a Charles William Wells dying in 1945, but this remains to be confirmed. |
