NoteThe 1910 U.S. census at Gore Township, Huron Co., Michigan, shows David's arrival in the U.S. as 1881. He married Ella M. Cleary, said to be born in Michigan, and they have with them in 1910 a daughter Emma, age 20, also born in Michigan. There were Clearys in Dumfries, so it is possible that there was a connection. Ella is said to have born 3 children, of whom 2 are living.
