| Note | We may note here that John Stephen Moffatt Wallace was known as Moffatt Wallace. Moffatt's second cousin Andrew Gordon Colvin also appears in this tree. Moffatt and Gordon were startling alike in appearance and could almost have passed for identical twins. Their manner and speech was also very much the same. Their common ancestors were their great grandparents Alexander Buchanan and Elizabeth Leece. As noted in this tree, Moffatt Wallace had a cousin Wallace Moffatt. A descendant told that this at times caused confusion and amusement in the family. |
