Burt. Informant D. A. Anderson, auctioneer, Paris. The above death registration places Janet's birth in Caledonia, New York. Her gravestone shows her as a native of Monroe County, New York State. The name of the community, however far extended, was apparently not named Caledonia at the time of Janet's birth, though it was in later years. Also, it appears that portions of the community went to different counties. Janet was in the town of Paris at the time of the 1871 census and living by herself though there is a servant with her in the house. . A sure record for Janet has not been found in the 1881 census. Janet died in Paris in 1884 and is buried with William in Paris Cemetery. |
