The groom's father was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and the bride's father was born in Pickering.

The application for marriage license portion of the form shows the intended place of marriage as Wallacetown. This is the residence of the clergyman and was probably the actual location. Wallacetown is a little to the south of the village of Dutton.

It's evident from the inscription on William's gravestone in Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery that his first wife was Margaret Oliver. Photos for this stone appear on the Cemeteries in the County of Oxford website, Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery, in East Nissouri Township. This cemetery is just west of the main intersection of the corners of Kintore. Kintore is rather north of Thamesford.
