Extracted from a list of marriages solemnized by Rev. James Gray of the Wesleyan Methodist Church for the year ending 31st December, A.D. 1861 and registered by his successor, Rev. W. J. Hunter of Wellington Square (later Burlington.)

David Garbut, 21, born and residing Nelson. Parents David and Sarah Garbutt.
Eleanor Burrows, 18, born Beverly, residing East Flamboro. Parents Joseph and Charlotte Burrows.
Witnesses David Hanger (or Flanger) and Eleanor Willson.
On Sept 11, 1861

Nelson Township of Halton County borders East Flamborough of Wentworth County. The county marriage registers do not typically record the exact location of a given marriage. The registration was filed by Rev. Hunter who was located in Halton as presumeably was his predecessor, Rev. Gray. It's entirely possible that marriages were performed by these clergymen on either side of the county border and the marriage could quite easily have been held in East Flamborough. Considering the nature of the forms, Rev. Hunter might have had no idea where the marriage was performed.
