Sarah's place of birth is shown on her death registration as Warwick Township. She herself also shows this on her marriage registration, so it is likely correct. The family cannot have remained in Warwick for long, however, for the 1851 census (taken in January of 1852) shows Sarah with parents Philip and Asenath in Blandford Township of Oxford County. Philip is shown as a shoemaker and the family identifies as Wesleyan Methodist.
