ID # 6097, (1845-)
|Father||Philip Hawn (1807-1882)|
|Mother||Asenath Boyd (1817-)|
|Birth||John Hawn was born in 1845.|
|Note||John Hawn is with his parents in Warwick Township, Lambton County, as of the 1861 Canadian census and he is not found in Canada again.|
He is probably the John Hawn, age 24, born Canada, who appears in the 1870 census in Port Austin, Huron County, Michigan. He is said to make scythe stone. With him is wife Hannah, age 21, also born in Canada. There are no children present.
This John and Hannah were married in Huron County, Michigan, on November 11, 1869, in the Township of White Rock. Hannah's surname is shown as Richards and the residence of the two is shown as Township of Sand Beach, but, beyond this, not much else is given. Their places of birth are not given nor their ages. To this point, they have not been found in a later census, either U.S. or Canadian.
