Physician Dr. Mainwaring. J. R. Neff was merchant as well as postmaster at Troy. The physician, Dr. Mainwaring, resided in St. George in South Dumfries Township of Brant County. Death reg. 030178-72 Beverly Twp., Wentworth Co. Lillian Smith, daughter of A.K. and Amelia Smith, died 22 Nov. 1872. Age 6 months. Born Beverly. Methodist. Physician Dr. N. E. Mainwaring. Informant John Neff, merchant, Township of Beverly. A place of burial for Lillian has not been found, though she was probably buried at Troy Cemetery. An infant sister was buried there a few years earlier. Lillian does not appear in Harley Misener's transcription of Troy Cemetery which was done in September of 1969. |
