| Note | Mary's middle name Margaret is taken from birth registrations for her children. Her name on at least two is shown as Mary Margaret Leitch. According to the 1900 census at Chapin Township in Saginaw County, Michigan, Mary bore 8 children, of whom five were living at the time. These five appear in the current list of children. The missing three, who we believe to be deceased, are not presently known. |
