| Note | At the time Clara Alair married Jesse Pattison in November of 1881, she was a widow. Her married name was Hill. Clara is with her parents, Francis and Mary Alair, at the time of the 1851 census in Cayuga Township of Haldimand County. As of the 1861 census, the family is in Canboro Township. The family is still in Canboro as of 1871 and 'Clarissa' is age 25 and still with her parents. Beyond this, Clara's first marriage or the death of her first husband has not been found. |
