| Note | A problem presents itself in the record that we have for Charles de Blaquiere, son of Charles and Agnes. The 1861 census in Blandford Township shows parents Charles and Agnes. With them are children: Peter, age 11 Agnes 10 William 5 Charles 3 It isn't clear just what is intended in the listing of young Charles in the 1861 census in Blandford Township which shows him as age 3 as of his next birthday. A closer reading of the page shows him checked under the column for deaths in the year 1860 and the cause of death being lung disease. Charles, son of Charles de Blaquiere and wife Agnes, is shown in the transcription of Old St. Paul's Cemetery as being born on June 12, 1859, and dying on November 11, 1860. The inscription on the stone clearly shows him as the son of Charles and Agnes. The St. Paul's burial book shows the child to have been buried on November 13, 1860. |
