On 4 June, 1890, at Galt, by Rev'd. John Ridley.

The Brantford OGS in their publication nbr. 358 has a transcription from the Trinity Anglican Church in Galt's marriage records. It is at odds with the above on one or two points.

The marriage was held at Trinity Church. Canon Ridley was assisted i the marriage ceremony by Edward M. Bland, Vicar of Cathedral at Hamilton.

The Trinity record also shows 3 witnesses:
A. Berk of London (probably Beck), R. M. Mullock of Toronto, and Sarah F. Blain of Galt.

Vicar Bland of Hamilton was married to Maria Augusta Erbs, a first cousin of the groom.

A. 'Berk' was probably Adam Beck of London, again the groom's first cousin, and when he was married a few years later in Hamilton, again, Michael Bland assisted with the ceremony.
