ID # 7134, (1827-1881)
| Baptism | Ann Murdoch was baptized in 1827 at Roxburghshire, Scotland. |
| Marriage | She married William Bond on 28 April 1854 at Oxford County. MS248 reel 1, Vol. 2, page 232 Brock District Marriage Register Extracted from a list of marriages solemnized by Rev. A. Tolmie Date of marriage April 28, 1854 William Bond and Ann Murdock, both of Blenheim (Township) By banns Witnesses George Murdock and William Stacy. By the time William and Ann were married, the Brock District was defunct and most of this district was Oxford County as of approximately 1850. The new county of Oxford was headquartered at Woodstock which had been the old district seat. The recording clerk at Woodstock, wise man that he was, simply continued to record marriages in the old Brock marriage register until December of 1857. Record keeping for the new county system was slow in getting started and records for numbers of counties are a black hole where nothing was recorded from the end of the district system until approximately 1858. |
