| Note | He Mrs. Rosemary Ambrose, via the Waterloo branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, provides death notices extracted from the Dumfries Reformer. The 11th March, 1857, edition of this paper tells that Dr. Anderson Sr. died on 26 Feb, 1857, near Paris in South Dumfries and that he was a native of Ayrshire, Scotland. The death date shown agrees with a transcription of Daniel's gravestone in Maus-Paris Plains Cemetery. Daniel's gravestone is recorded as being buried as of a cemetery update done in 2006. An earlier transcription tells that he died on February 26, 1857, at age 85. |
