| Note | Birth reg. 008654-76 Nassagaweya Twp., Halton Co. George Knox born 18th September 1876. Parents John Knox, plasterer, and Rebecca Watson. Physician Dr. McCulloch. Informant John Knox (self signed), plasterer, Nassagaweya. George does not appear with his parents or sister Ida in the Dakota Territories census of 1880. He does appear, however, with his grandparents Watson in the 1881 census as enumerated in Nassagaweya Township, Halton County. He is shown as George Knox, age 4. He has not been found in the 1891 or 1901 censuses, but he is evidently resident in Toronto in December of 1903 when he married Florence Sopher. |
