| Note | Adaline's death was before the advent of death registrations. A transcription of North Pelham Cemetery as provided by the Niagara branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society reads as follows: Husband/ Adaline G. / daughter of / John W. & Mary Ann / Husband / who died / Aug 27, 1864 / aged 8 Yrs. / The 1861 census shows her name as A. Corinda Husband. We must believe that the transcription of her name as shown above with the middle initial of G. to be the result of a worn stone which at some point in the past much have been visible, but recent photo essays of the cemetery do not provide a photograph. Nothing directly tells us where Adaline's death occurred, but the family is in Thorold Township of Welland County in both the 1861 and 1871 censuses, so it's likely that she died there. An examination of the transcription of the North Pelham Cemetery makes it evident that Adaline was buried with her mother's people - Crow family members. |
