Parents James Watson and Jane Tweedie. Death reg. 002055-22 Toronto, York Co. Agnes Duff died March 7, 1922, at 296 Western Ave., Toronto, at age 82. Widow. Born Scotland in 1840. Physician A. N. Perfect, 201 Annette St., undertaker Wm Speers, 2926 Dundas St. Informant Wellington Willson, 296 Western Ave., friend. Burial Port Elgin, March 9, 1922. The Bruce & Grey Counties branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed Sanctuary Park Cemetery at Port Elgin. Agnes is buried there with husband George who died in 1908 and their daughter Jane Tweedie Duff. As noted in the above death registration, Agnes was with daughter-in-law Jennie and her second husband Wellington Willson when she died in 1922. It is also found that she was with son James and daughter-in-law Jennie as of the 1911 census. After the death of her son James, did she remain with Jennie and move in with Jennie's second husband Wellington Willson? It certainly looks that way. It's attractive that Wellington, who was the informant in the death of Agnes described himself as her friend. |
