Belinda Jane Lockie born 16 November, 1880. Parents Thomas Lockie, farmer, and Jane Wight. Physician Dr. Brown. Informant Thomas Lockie, North Dumfries.

Melinda, later known to her family as Millie, was born in 1880. That her birth registration shows her name as Belinda we must believe to be a clerical error, for she is shown in census information and on her marriage registration as Melinda.

Her date of death is taken from the inscription on her gravestone in Section 4 of Mountview Cemetery, Galt.

The entrance to the Ronald home was from the road that divided Brant and Waterloo counties. This was the 7th concession, though the farm was recorded as being on the 6th concession. There was quite a garden, well kept, and your researcher, who was a child at the time, can recall Millie Ronald in her garden with her shovel.
