Emma Pitts died 2nd November, 1886. Age 38. Married. Born Oxford, England. Church of England. Cause of death consumption one year. Physician Dr. Brown. Informant Alfred J. Pitts, machinist, Galt.

Emma is buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery. The Waterloo branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society has transcribed the cemetery and her stone shows her dates of birth and death to be Feb. 20, 1848, to Nov 2, 1866. The latter is obviously a typo. Her year of death is clearly 1886.

The stone also tells that daughters Ada Louise and Florence May, who died in infancy, are buried with her. The childrens' dates of birth and death are not shown on the stone, but we have birth and death registrations for them.

Alfred is probably buried with them. His death registration tells that he is buried in Trinity Anglican Cemetery. The church records also tell that he was buried in Trinity's cemetery. His name, however, does not appear to have been entered on the stone.
