The Drouin Collection as hosted by Ancestry shows the marriage of Robert Steward and Mary Copping in St. Ambroise de Kildare, Rawdon, Quebec. The volume in which the marriage was entered was that of a Protestant Episcopal Congregation - an Anglican church.

This records the marriage of Robert Steward of Rawdon, bachelor, blacksmith, and Mary Copping of the same place, spinster. They were married after due publication of banns on the 15th day of June, 1843. The clergyman's name is R. H. Bourne.

NoteThe information which follows recording the baptism of Mary Copping is open to argument. Since it is almost certainly correct, it is shown here.

Copping Baptized

Mary daughter of George Copping of Montreal, sawyer, and Elizabeth his wife, was born the twentieth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and twenty one and was baptized the twenty fifth of November following by me
John illeg., Rector

Sponsors illeg. Hunter; Eliz illeg., and Mary Handley.

In support of the above, the 1901 census at Wainfleet does show Mary's place of birth as Montreal. The negative is that the same document shows her date of birth as March 1, 1821.

Robert and Mary were in St. Patrice de Rawdon, Quebec, as of the 1851 census. By 1861, the family was in Gainsborough Township of Welland County and they are in Gainsborough as of 1871.

By the time of the 1901 census, perhaps age having its way, the couple is in two separate households, both of which belong to children. And on this point, Mary's record in the 1901 census is a bit unusual. Mary is with son William and the census page is for Gainsborough, which is in Lincoln County, but a line is drawn under Mary's name which seems to indicate that the enumerations that went before were in Wainfleet Township. Which may or may not have to do with her death registration being recorded in Wainfleet:
