| Note | The transcription of Campden Mennonite Cemetery by the Niagara branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society shows Elizabeth's date of death to 18 Aug, 1908. While this is no doubt a fair rendering of the inscription on the gravestone when visible in 1962, it appears from recent photographic presentations of the cemetery that the stone is no longer visible. There is some evidence that she died a year earlier than the date as shown on the stone. Probably, her gravestone was not installed until at least a little time had passed after her death. There will be more to the story. |
