Parents Christ. & Elizabeth Burkholder. Barbara Kinsey, 28, born and residing Waterloo Twp. Parents John Kinsey and Elizabeth Moxley. Witnesses Jacob Kinsey and Isaac Staufer, both of Waterloo Twp. (The witnesses names are poorly written and open to interpretation.) On 13 August, 1860 The Waterloo Region branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society produced a list of baptisms for the Doon & Hespeler Presbyterian Church. The preamble mentions the name of Thomas Isaac Hodgskin. At a guess, Benjamin and Barbara were married at the Doon church, though the Hespeler church is at least a possibility. |

| Note | A transcription of Barbara's gravestone in Section C of Kitchener First Mennonite Cemetery tells that she died on October 19, 1866. The October 31st, 1866, edition of the Dumfries Reformer of Galt tells that she died on October 15th of 'lingering consumption'. Ben Burkholder is said to be her husband. The reformer death notice locates her death as being 'near Doon'. This will be in Waterloo Township. |
