James. The registration was not filed until January 4, 1904. The mother's surname reads Gibb. By all logic this is Annie Stewart. Note that the middle name of older sister Jean was Gibb. An examination of the 1911 census should put this to rest. Not to mention that the marriage registration of John Wickham James and Annie Laurie Stewart shows Annie's mother's maiden name to be Gibb . Of interest with the 1911 census is that the James family are living are living next door to Annie's father and two of her sisters. |
