The above shows the family's residence as Allan Township, but the birth was registered in Gordon Township. This was the same situation for a number of the registrations. The Donaldsons were at Rice Lake which was in Allan. This is close to Gore Bay which is in Gordon Township. The available registration locations have been reviewed and it isn't clear that there was a registrar in Allan Township. That said, a close family member does confirm as Jean Donaldson was born at the family property at Ice Lake, which is in Allan Township. If there was a registrar in Allan Township it would seem that the birth was registered in Gordon, the registrar there being the closer to the Donaldson residence.
