| Note | The transcription of Farringdon Burial Grounds shows Miles Tomlinson as being buried with his grandparents, William Birkett and Eleanor Bateman, in Farringdon Burial Ground in Brantford. Per the transcription, he died on 28th February, 1872, and his age at time of death was 24 years, 3 months, and 16 days. His date of birth is calculated from this. This also has some logic in terms of what is available from the Farringdon Church records which show his baptism as being 26 December, 1847.
We are not told just where Miles died, but as of the 1871 census, the Tomlinsons with extended Birkett family were in Onondaga Township, Brant County. Miles may well have died in Onondaga, though we have no information to be sure. A death registration has not been found. |
