     Hugh Alexander McLeod was born on 25 April 1881 in Artemesia Twp, Grey County, Ontario.1 He was the son of Angus Mcleod and Mary McPherson.1 He married first Lottie Louise Eakins on 19 September 1924 in Vancouver, British Columbia.2 He and Lottie Louise Eakins were divorced.3 He married second Ethel Sarah Cooper, daughter of Thomas Cooper and Sarah Rolston.4,5 He and Ethel Sarah Cooper were separated about 1940.6 He was a locomotive engineer for CNR.5 He died on 17 August 1951 of pneumonia after a stroke in New Westminster, British Columbia, at age 70.5 He was buried on 20 August 1951 in Fraser Cemetery, New Westminster, British ColumbiaG.5
