     1 Sarah Rolston was born on 11 October 1859 in Kincardine, Bruce County, Ontario.2,3 She was the daughter of James Rolston and Jane Roney.4,5 She has also been reported to have been born on 11 August 1858 in Ontario.6 She married Thomas Cooper on 16 October 1884 in Southampton, Bruce County, Ontario.4 She was left a widow when Thomas Cooper died on 17 December 1923.7 She died on 11 September 1935 of pneumonia in Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, British Columbia, at age 75.2 She was buried on 13 September 1935 in Kamloops, British Columbia.2

A story about the Thomas Cooper family appeared in Bunch Grass to Barbed Wire, a local history of the Kamloops, BC area, published in 1984.8
