A birth registration for George was filed by a Mrs. Edward Clark of Markham, Ontario, in 1947. Birth reg. 501022-47 Waterdown, East Flamboro, Wentworth County 1871 o 2 George Ezra Robbins, born August 26, 1871. Parents, father: Phillip George Robbins, age 26, born US, residing Waterdown, Wentworth County Racial origin Pennsylvania Dutch United States. Farmer. Mother: Jane Esson, 23, born Scotland, residing Waterdown, Wentworth County Jane had born two children to the time of George's birth. In 1944, seven of her children were living. A note states declaration by aunt, family bible, marriage. (The aunt was likely George's sister.) The form was dated 9 Oct 1947 and signed at Mimico by Mrs. Edward Clark. George's family appears to have resided in East Flamboro to some point past the 1881 census. By the 1891 census, they are residing in Flamborough West. |
