| Note | Henry Glendinning is still living as of the 1861 census in Brock Township, Ontario County. He is shown as a farmer, 39 years of age. With him are wife Elizabeth, several children, and, apparently, his parents. James Glendinning, age 62, is enumerated, but as being deceased within the past year. Cancer of the stomach is given as the reason for his demise. Also enumerated and living is Catherine Glendinning, age 71. Both James and Catherine are shown as being born in England. Henry's wife Elizabeth appears in the 1871 census as a widow. Her youngest child is shown as age 7, so we may infer that Henry lived until at least 1863. |
