There is no question that the unnamed child is Ruth. Familysearch.org provides us with a Michigan obituary from Herrick Public Library, newspaper not named. It is datelined Grant and relates that Ruth was born September 23, 1898, to Eugene and Caroline Vrooman Cavender. It goes on to say that she was first married to Albert Charles Blood, who died February 20, 1933, and then to Lawrence J. Homrich, who died July 6, 1966. Find-a-Grave provides a transcription of her stone in Ashland Center Cemetery in Grant, Newaygo County. It shows her dates as September 23, 1898, to Aug. 27, 1966. |
