| Note | Nelson and Mary Ann were living in Burford Township when Wesley was born in approximately 1882. He was almost certainly born in Burford, but a birth registration for him has not been found. We know of his place in the family from census information. Wesley is with his parents and siblings in Turtle Mountain, Selkirk, Manitoba, at the time of the 1891 census. He is shown as age 9.
